Cracimore

Don't miss this chance to experience the excitement, the humor, and the rare joy of music from this widely acclaimed group of musicians.

Columbia Center for the Arts proudly presents CRAICMORE contemporary traditional Celtic music and dance.

With deep roots in the music of Scotland and Ireland, CRAICMORE features critically acclaimed contralto Nancy Johnston. Her deep, rich voice is rare in the genre.

Driving rhythms from guitar, bass, Bohdran drum, conga and other percussion, along with high-spirited whistles, flutes and bagpipes, powerfully render jigs & reels.

Four part harmony, rhythmic hardshoe dancing, an East Indian Shruti Box and rumbling Didjeridoo all accent the warmth and passion of CRAICMORE’s fiery performances.

Each member has a deeply personal connection to this music, and each brings a lifetime of live performance and study from a wide range of musical genres.

Infused with sounds from around the globe ...

Craicmore has toured for over twelve years throughout the United States and performed at the World Music Festival, a 14 concert engagement, in Shanghai China.

Expanding on the well-seasoned richness of traditional Celtic music, Craicmore infuses its music with instruments and sounds from around the globe. CRAICMORE’s music has been heard in the USA, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand on the CBS Primetime hits Without a Trace, How I Met Your Mother and NBC Daytime Drama Days of our Lives.

Don’t miss the chance to experience the excitement, the humor and the sheer joy of this music from CRAICMORE.
