Interpretation
14 Artists Explore 5 Topics in a Variety of Media
August 1 through 31

Fourteen Gorge artists will explore 5 different topics using their own unique style.
The 5 Topics Being Explored
Artists were presented with 5 topics, and then placed in small groups. Each group is comprised of several artists who work in different mediums.
A metal, acrylic and photography artist will be creating individual pieces under the same category of Horizons.
Topics for Jewelry artists are Jewels of the Gorge, Recycling and Seasons.
The artist collaborative project is the word Uncomfortable.
This unique opportunity asks each artist to take an introspective look at what each word means, and the thoughts and feelings that result will be reflected in their individual pieces. Gallery manager Catherine Kiewit says: "It's the artist’s interpretation of the same topic that will be intriguing."
Curators for this month's show are Heather Marlow & Debra Jones.
